EMU Faculty of Dentistry Holds a Seminar as Part of Endodontics-I Course

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Dentistry organized a seminar with the aim of enhancing the quality of its educational activities, strengthening students’ professional knowledge and clinical skills in light of current scientific developments, and introducing them to a variety of academic perspectives.

As part of the “Endodontics I (DENT273)” course, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilek Türkaydın, a faculty member at Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry and Vice Director of the Applied Research Center, delivered a series of seminars. Throughout the program, both fundamental and contemporary approaches in the field of endodontics were discussed, while students were introduced to the principles of root canal treatment, clinical case evaluation processes, and key considerations in treatment planning.

The seminars also provided an interactive learning environment that enabled students to connect their theoretical knowledge with clinical practice. Supported by question-and-answer sessions, the program focused on developing students’ clinical thinking and analytical skills

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Işıl Özgül Kalyoncu, Acting Dean of EMU Faculty of Dentistry, made remarks on the topic, noting that the Faculty places great importance on providing students not only with theoretical knowledge but also with opportunities to engage with distinguished academics and learn about current clinical approaches firsthand. She noted that such academic activities make a significant contribution to students’ professional development and added that collaborations with other universities will continue to expand in the future.
