Eastern Mediterranean University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam hosted Riyad Mammadzade, Director of the International Branch of the Azerbaijan Information Foundation. Operating under the President’s Office, Azerbaijan Information Foundation is a state organisation informing policy makers and the public on political, socio-economic and cultural issues.
Vice Rector for Promotion Prof. Dr. Hasan Amca also attended Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam’s meeting with Mammadzade, who discussed the possibility of prospective collaborations between EMU and Azerbaijan Information Foundation. Giving information about Azerbaijan Information Foundation, Mammadzade expressed their willingness in establishing collaborations with EMU. Stating his fascination with EMU’s quality, Mammadzade stressed the importance of collaborations in the field of education.
EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Osam provided detailed information about EMU with a specific focus on accreditations, infrastructural facilities, faculties and departments. Expressing the university’s readiness for collaborations, Prof. Dr. Osam stated their pleasure in hosting Mammadzade. At the end of the visit, Prof. Dr. Osam presented Lefkara lace handicraft to Riyad Mammadzade, who also presented a painting representing Azerbaijan to Prof. Dr. Osam.
