Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk to be Commemorated in EMU

On the occasion of the 84th anniversary of the passing of the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) will organise a Commemoration Ceremony in front of the EMU Atatürk Monument on Thursday, 10 November  2022, at 08:45 a.m..

In scope of the program of the ceremony to be organised by EMU Atatürk Research and Application Center (ATAUM) and Atatürk Ideology Club,  a wreath will be laid on the Atatürk Monument by EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın at 9:00 a.m. At 09:03, EMU-ATAUM Chair Assist. Prof. Dr. Turgay Bülent Göktürk will read out 10 November Statement. After a moment of silence and the National Anthem at 09:05, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın will deliver a speech. After the speeches, at 09:20, a choir consisting of the students of the Faculty of Education, Department of Fine Arts Education, Music Teaching Program will give a concert. At 09:30, the opening of the painting exhibition titled “Atatürk and Atatürk’s Photos in the Press of 1938” will be held in the Central Lecture Halls Building Lobby. Faculty members are required to attend the ceremony in their gowns.

(R) General İlker Başbuğ to Give a Conference

The 26th Chief of General Staff of the Republic of Turkey (R) Gen. İlker Başbuğ, who will come to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) as part of the 10 November Commemoration of Atatürk organisations, will give a conference titled “Statesperson Mustafa Kemal Atatürk”  at Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Center at 14:30 on Friday, 11 November 2022. The conference, which is expected to attract great turnout, will be open to the public.
