Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Business and Economics, Department of Business Administration academic staff member and EMU Board of Trustees (VYK) Financial and Economic Affairs Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murad Kayacan presented his book titled “Sermaye Piyasası Hukuku (Capital Market Law)” to EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç.
During his visit to Rector Prof. Dr. Kılıç, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kayacan shared insights on the developing field of capital markets law in Türkiye, highlighting academic gaps, recent legislative updates, and the process behind preparing his book. Rector Prof. Dr. Kılıç congratulated him on this significant work and reaffirmed the university’s dedication to supporting scientific research, adding that he believes the book will offer valuable contributions to both academic world and practical application.
The “Sermaye Piyasası Hukuku” book prepared by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murad Kayacan, Prof. Dr. Şaban Kayıhan and Dr. Onur Koru and released in its first edition in October 2025, explores the legal foundations of capital markets under current legislation, offering a comprehensive perspective for both students and professionals.
The book is designed not only for undergraduate and graduate students but also as a resource for those preparing for the Capital Markets Board (SPK) licensing exams and TÜRMOB Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exams. In this regard, each chapter includes test questions, with an answer key provided at the end of the book. Focusing on the legal framework of capital markets—where medium- and long-term funds are traded—the book also highlights recent legislative developments related to legal practices in this field.
