Eastern Mediterranean University is finalising the preparations for the 2nd Eastern Mediterranean University Physics Days which will take place under the auspices of EMU Faculty of Arts and Sciences Physics Department at EMU Mustafa Afşin Ersoy Hall between 21 and 22 March 2019.

Providing information on EMU Physics Days (2nd EMU Physics Days – 2019) (http://physicsdays.emu.edu.tr/en) to be held for the second time this year, Chair of the Organisation Committee and Departments of Physics and Chemistry Chair Prof. Dr. İzzet Sakallı stated that the event will host world-renowned Physics professors including Prof. Dr. Alikram Nuhbalaoğlu Aliev (TÜBİTAK Science Award Winner – TÜBİTAK, Turkey), Prof. Dr. Vahid Karimipour (Group Leader of Quantum Information Science – Sharif University of Technology, Iran and ICTP, Italy) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Can Kozcaz (BAGEP 2018 Award Winner - Boğaziçi University, Turkey). At the same time, famous professors from Turkey and our country, namely Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Özel, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Halilsoy, Prof. Dr. Sıddık İçli, Prof. Dr. Özlem Yeşiltaş, Prof. Dr. Osman Adıgüzel, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Çakallı, Prof. Dr. Aysel Karafistan and Prof. Dr. Özay Gürtuğ, will be contributing to the event with their unique presentations.  Last but not least, Prof. Dr. Sakallı put forth that the participants will be enlightened on the nature and the functioning of the universe through the  presentations of eminent 14 physicists including Prof. Dr. Ahmad Al-Badawi from Jordan’s  Al-Hussein Bin Talal University.

The event which will take place on 21 and 22 March 2019 at Mustafa Afşin Ersoy Hall is open to the participation of all who have an interest towards physics and science. 2nd Physics Days will commence with opening speeches at Mustafa Afşin Ersoy Hall at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, 21 March  2019.

Eastern Mediterranean University Faculty of Arts and Sciences which boasts the only Physics Department in TRNC, offers a wide array of undergraduate courses for the university’s different faculties alongside with its YÖK (Turkish Council of Higher Education)  approved master’s and doctoral degree programs.
