The importance of carbohydrates, proteins and lipids in healthy nutrition, chemical structure, properties, classification, functions, sources, daily intake reccomendations, excess intake status. To teach the energy, carbohydrate, protein and fat contents of nutrients, appropriate preparation and cooking methods, application of some basic and traditional recipes in the laboratory within the framework of nutrition principles.
