In the event, which was held by many participants planting trees and saplings, 25 carob and 25 olive saplings were planted in the area behind the Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Center. In a statement made by the EMU Faculty of Architecture on the subject, “We cannot explain enough the importance and benefits of tree’s that are the world lungs. The opportunities provided by forests to our world are quite high. Besides being a source of oxygen, the fact that the regions we live in are healthy and clean is related to the existence of forests. ”

“We Should Plant More Trees”

The statement continued as follows: “Forest fires in our country recently reminded us of the importance of trees and reforestation. Especially the fire threat has increased during this period by the drying of the grass and the warming of the weather. In order to prevent such a sad event from happening; EMU Faculty of Architecture, Interior Architecture Department alongside the EMU Environmental Affairs Directorate visited the Interior Architecture Grove. With EMU Environmental Affairs Directorates care, the trees have grown healthily in three years, and the greenery of the area and the recent loss of trees have once again reminded us that it is a citizenship / humanity duty to perform such plantings in many areas of our island. ”
