Turkish state artist Gülsin Onay, who came to the TRNC in scope of the 2nd Gülsin Onay Piano Festival organized in memory of Turkish Pianist Verda Erman in collaboration with Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) and Cyprus Polyphonic Choirs Association (KPKD), paid a visit to EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın in his office.
EMU Vice Rector for Social and Cultural Affairs Prof. Dr. Deniz İşçioğlu, Cyprus Polyphonic Choirs Association Choir Conductors Erkan Dağlı and Rana Uluçay, Board Member Esra Uluçaylı and Cyprus Polyphonic Choirs Association President Şifa Çolakoğlu were also present at the said visit.
Expressing her pleasure to be visiting EMU, Onay conveyed her thanks to Prof. Dr. Hocanın, his team and KPKD for their contributions in the realisation of the festival. Conveying his pleasure to host Gülsin Onay at EMU, Prof. Dr. Hocanın emphasized that EMU always supports art and artists in scope of the community service practices. At the end of the visit, Prof. Dr. Hocanın presented Onay a Cypriot Lefkara frame.
