Turgay Hilmi in EMU

Within the framework of the 4th International Career Week organised by EMU Graduate Relations and Career Research Directorate, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Turgay Hilmi delivered a speech for students as one of the guest speakers of Faculty of Education.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hilmi, who currently works as a member of the academic staff at Friedrich Alexander University of Germany, stated that he sees himself as an artist, educator, honorary representative and a social activist. Stating that he started his training in music at a very early age, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hilmi provided information about his music studies.

Putting forth that a career is earned not through reading books but by meeting right people with correct information, at the right time and place, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hilmi advised the students to get out of their little circles and seize opportunities to achieve success. Hilmi also told the students to choose a successful figure as a model for them and follow a similar career path.

At the end of his speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Turgay Hilmi also advised the students to pay special importance to taking the initiative, learning and love towards humanity.

At the end of the event, Dean of Education Faculty Prof. Dr. Ülker Vancı Osam presented Assoc. Prof. Dr. Turgay Hilmi a frame made of traditional Lefkara lace.
