Another social responsibility project has been introduced by Eastern Mediterranean University, Community Involvement Center. Within the framework of the graduation project assigned by Eastern Mediterranean University, Communication and Media Studies Faculty, Public Relations and Advertising Department Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anıl Kemal Kaya, 4th year students Fadıl İsgenderov, Erşen Amcaoğlu, Enver Gilanlıoğlu, and Shaig Alili carried out a civic involvement project.
Having taken place under the sponsorship of Famagusta Municipality, a football tournament aiming to raise funds for the children of Syrian refugees was organised by the said group of students. Funds raised during the organisation was donated for the said purpose via Red Cross. The football tournament which took place at Famagusta Development Academy pitches received intensive interest from students, who all stated that their participation in the said organisation decreased their stress levels. Participating students also stated their pleasure in supporting a meaningful social responsibility project as such.
At the end of the football tournament which was participated by 8 teams, organising students expressed their pleasure and pride in supporting people in need.
