On 8 June 2015, as part of ARCH 305 Architectural Drawing and Presentation Techniques Course offered by Eastern Mediterranean University Architecture Department, course instructors Prof. Dr. Kokan Grchev and research assistant Nazgol Hafizi held their class at the front yard of the Rector’s Office. The main objective of the aforesaid class was understanding architecture by visual observation and presenting the observations through specific drawings and presentations.  The main point the course instructors  underlined through the course was the importance of basic tools in the design studio such as visual thinking, design thinking and visual thinking through design.

ARCH 305 course is designed to cater for the needs of Architecture students for better visual language experience and practice.  At the end of each semester, having solved many drawing and presentation issues within the semester, students were involved in this exceptional example of contemporary architecture in the campus, trying to see, understand, draw and present the best values of it.

During the class which was held in front of the Rector’s Office, students tried to improve their skills through the usage of new tools for graphic language usage as well as various graphic techniques that can be used during the design process and within the process of recognizing and presenting architecture.
