Eastern Mediterranean University Architecture Faculty Interior Architecture Department final year student Laden Cemmedo has been successfully placed within the first 6 students in the 7th National Furniture Design Competition which took place at İstanbul Esma Sultan Yalısı on 15 April 2014.
EMU Interior Architecture Department Chair Prof. Dr. Uğur Ulaş Dağlı stated the important contributions of competitions in education and put forth that they bring up qualified interior architects who successfully convert creativity into application with the theory they gained, are competent in professional know-how, can use the technology effectively, demonstrate awareness and sensitivity towards humans and environment and possess professional ethics.
The department’s participation into the competition within the framework of Inar 403 and Itas 403 (Furniture & Fixture) courses delivered by EMU Architecture Faculty academic staff member Assist. Prof. Dr. Kağan Günçe and research assistant Zehra Babutsalı carries special importance as the “7th National Furniture Design Competition” is a prestigious platform in the relevant field.
