Student Of EMU Becomes The Winner Of 2015 Global NetRiders CCENT Competition

Eastern Mediterranean University, Communication and Media Studies Faculty PhD student Khader Kaseem, who also works at Eastern Mediterranean University Computer Center as the System and Network Expert has become the winner of 2015 Global NetRiders CCENT Competition, an event organised by Cisco Networking Academy. It is worth mentioning that Kaseem became the winner of the said competition amongst 65 finalists who were nominated from hundreds of participants from Turkey, Eastern Mediterranean region and North Africa.

Organised annually, Cisco Networking Academy NetRiders IT skills competitions are a great opportunity for students and alumni to showcase their networking abilities, learn valuable new IT skills, and gain visibility among talent recruiters in the growing ICT and networking field. The competition features 3 different areas (CCNA, CCENT and IT Essentials) all of which include questions dealing with technical skills, Networking and IT skills. The participant winning the CNA category receives training with other participants from 8 zones of the world at Silicon Valley Cisco Campus for a period of 15 days. Winners of CCNA CCENT and IT Essential competitions are given the right to sit for the exams free-of-charge.

Winner of 2015 Netriders CCENT competition Kaseem stated that staff member in charge of EMU Computer Center IT Center and EMU CCNA Excellence trainer Yusuf Küçük supported him during the preparation period of the said competition. Kaseem also highlighted the distinct advantages of possessing the certificate of CCNA.

Having been a member of Cisco Networking Academy since 2003, Eastern Mediterranean University gained “Academy Excellence Curriculum Award” in 2013. It is worth mentioning that staff member in charge of EMU Academy Yusuf Küçük received Excellence Expert Instructor certificate and was nominated the best trainer in Turkey in the field of CCNA Exploration in 2013.
