Eastern Mediterranean University, Social Media Unit, in collaboration with EMU Communication and Media Studies Faculty, is organising a “Social Media and Brand Week” between 6 and 7 April 2016.

Targeted towards participants who either have  amateur or professional interest towards social media, the event will take place on EMU Campus under the main sponsorship of Turkish Airlines and KKTCELL and with the contributions of Cyprus Media and Cookies.

Seminars taking place during the Social Media and Brand Week will be delivered by the social media and digital marketing strategy managers of famous brands among which are Coca-Cola, Adidas, Sony, Turkcell, Arçelik, TEB and BM Vodafone.

Acting as a platform of information exchange regarding Social Media and Digital Marketing, the event will give the participants the opportunity to gather information about the strategy formation and target setting processes of famous brands. Participants of Social Media and Brand will be awarded certificates.

EMU Institutional Communications and Social Media Coordinator Raziye Nevzat stated that due to its worldwide popularity, social media has converted itself to a promotional and marketing body providing an array of job opportunities for large number of individuals. Adding that digital marketing will be employed by the majority of the sector, Nevzat put forth that the said organisation will act as a unique opportunity for students, graduates or those wishing to gain expertise in their professions. Nevzat added that the projected number of participants in the event will be quite high due to this reason.
