The game titled “Cubia”, designed and developed by Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Communication Faculty, Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Department, Digital Game Design Program academic staff member Sen. Inst. Muhammed Bedri Karabulut, was chosen as the best indie game in February 2021 edition of the business support platform "Indieway" which organizes conferences for game developers. Sen. Inst. Muhammed Bedri Karabulut has been involved in the development of the popular game “Cubia” on his own for two years. Karabulut was chosen as the best indie game in Gaming Istanbul 2020 last year.
Sen. Inst. Muhammed Bedri Karabulut, who made a statement on the subject, said “For independent game developers like us, such professional and international platforms are very important for the development of the sector. I am really happy that my game was deemed worthy of the first place in such an organization and ”.
