Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Department postgraduate student Jemma Claire Forster’s design achieved a place in the catalog of the 7th International “Redman” Art Biennial held in the People's Republic of China, for which only the best works were selected.
Organised every 2 years, this year’s “Redman” International Art Biennial received a large amount of intertest, with 7,000 works from 610 artists from 70 different countries applying. The design named “Iconic Beauty”, that was developed during Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Department Chair Prof. Dr. Senih Çavuşoğlu’s “Studio Practice 2” course, was selected as one of the best works within the “Mona Lisa” category by an international jury. Through achieving this position in an important art platform, the said EMU student represented both EMU and the TRNC at the international arena.
