Prof. Dr. Hülya Harutoğlu Represented EMU in the 'International Turkey Medical Alumni Congress'

Taking place in İstanbul between 3 and 7 December 2014, the 2nd International Turkey Medical Alumni Congress hosted over 600 international health professionals who graduated from universities in Turkey. 

The congress which had the main theme of health tourism and new technologies also featured discussions on health policies and international cooperation. The congress commenced with the TÜMSİAD (The Association of  Industrialists and Businessmen) General Chair Dr. Hasan Sert’s opening address on behalf of the organising committee. Following Sert’s address, Turkish Republic Minister of Health Dr. Mehmet Müezzinoğlu delivered his opening speech. The congress also hosted ministers of health from Kosovo, Zanzibar, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uganda, who provided information on the health policies of their countries.

EMU Health Sciences Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Hülya Harutoğlu, who attended the congress as an invited speaker, provided information on the health tourism and geriatric care projects and had meetings with the representatives of the Ministry of Health regarding health education.
