Palestinian Students Hold Award Night

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Palestinian Students Society held an Award Night to express their gratitude to the Society's 2016 President and cabinet who have completed their course in office. The event was held at the EMU Beach Club and was full of joy and excitement with a very large Palestinian student attendance.

Özgür Taşçıoğlu Güler

In her address, International Office Coordinator, Mrs. Özgür Taşcıoğlu Güler, stated her appreciated of Palestinian Students for their commitment and dedication to the progress of EMU. Güler noted that EMU is always proud to have international students on its campus, stating that they are one of the reasons for the growth of the University. Mrs. Güler also expressed her appreciation of the Palestinian students’ society and encouraged them to be committed and dedicated to moving EMU forward.

Ahmed Toma

In his speech, Vice President of the Palestinian Students Society Ahmed Toma thanked the Eastern Mediterranean University management for the environment and facilities they provide for the students. He also thanked the international office team for their support, dedication and drive in making sure their activities are successful. In addition, Toma stated that EMU allows Palestinian students the opportunity to represent their country and make their voices heard.

The event also featured a video display about the activities organized by the Palestinian Student Society in the 2015-2016 term, traditional Palestinian Dance (Dabke) and awards being presentated to Cabinet Members and the Palestinian Basketball Team.
