NTV Sports Commentator Bağış Erten and Cyprus Daily Sports Columnist Şükrü Burağan, who visited EMU within the framework of a panel “Our Passion Sports” organised by Eastern Mediterranean University Health Sciences Faculty, Sports Sciences Department, paid a visit to EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam prior to the said event.
During the visit, information exchange on education, sports and politics-related issues took place. Highighting the importance of EMU as one of the most important qualities of the TRNC, Prof. Dr. Osam added that Eastern Mediterranean University hosts students from 106 different countries. Prof. Dr. Osam also put forth that they represent the government by keeping close contact with 106 different countries.
During the visit, information exchange on the football tournament to be organised at the TRNC in April took place. Stating that the said tournament will facilitate cultural interaction among participating teams, Bağış Erten also expressed his fascination with Eastern Mediterranean University. At the end of the visit during which Sports Columnist Ogün Genç Kaçmaz, Rector’s Coordinator Assist. Prof. Dr. Arif Akkeleş, Public Relations and Press Office Director Murat Aktuğralı and Health Sciences Faculty, Sports Sciences Department academic staff member Ahmet Özyaşar were also present, Prof. Dr. Osam presented the guests handicrafts made of lefkara lace to mark their visit to Eastern Mediterranean University.
