Ibrahim Isah, Deputy Head of Mission of the Nigerian Embassy in Ankara , paid a visit to Eastern Mediterranean University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam. Extending his pleasure in visiting EMU, Isah provided information on the Nigerian education system as well as the scholarships in Nigeria.
Isah also talked about visa and scholarship problems of Nigerian students. Prof. Dr. Osam stated that the university administration has already contacted relevant authorities to end visa-related problems of Nigerian students. Prof. Dr. Osam also added that they will be working on possible solutions for the scholarship problems encountered by Nigerian students.
At the end of the visit at which Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Ahmet Sözen, Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Hıfsiye Pulhan, Vice Rector for Promotion Prof. Dr. Hasan Amca and Rector’s Coordinator Assist. Prof. Dr. Arif Akkeleş were also present, Prof. Dr. Osam presented Isah a frame made of Lefkara lace.
