Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Minister of Education Kemal Dürüst and his team of officials paid a visit to EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam.
Prior to the visit, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Osam held a press meeting and stated that he is delighted to host Minister of Education Kemal Dürüst in EMU. Stating that education is an important concept in his philosophy, Prof. Dr. Osam added that both parties will be exchanging information on various topics.
Putting forth that education and tourism are the arteries of the TRNC’s economy, Minister of Education Kemal Dürüst added that EMU is TRNC’s gateway to the world. Dürüst also stated that EMU has always maintained good relations with his ministry. Dürüst went on to add that EMU’s success is indeed the government’s and country’s success. Stating that EMU possesses important economic, social and cultural values, Dürüst highlighted the role of EMU in TRNC’s positive reputation as the island of education. At the end of his speech, Dürüst once again stressed that they value EMU, as also indicated by their visit.
Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Ahmet Sözen, Prof. Dr. Hıfsiye Pulhan, Prof. Dr. Hasan Amca, Prof. Dr. Salih Katırcıoğlu and Prof. Dr. Bekir Özer, Rector’s Coordinator Assist. Prof. Dr. Arif Akkeleş and Public Relations and Press Office Director Murat Aktuğralı were also present at the meeting.
