Mayor of Büyükkonuk Ahmet Sennaroğlu, Büyükkonuk Eco Tourism Association chair Kıymet Alibey and his team visited EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Osam. During the visit which took place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, 17 April 2015, collaboration possibilities between Büyükkonuk Municipality and Eastern Mediterranean University were discussed. Both parties also exchanged information regarding the 16th Traditional Eco Day which will take place on Sunday, 3 May 2015.
Extending his best wishes to EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Osam, Büyükkonuk Mayor Ahmet Sennaroğlu asked for EMU’s support in the area of communication during the aforesaid event. Sennaroğlu also stressed the importance of Eco Day, an event which helps the community explore past values and customs. Highlighting the importance of the university’s collaborations with different municipalities, Prof. Dr. Osam stated that Eastern Mediterranean University would be more than happy to support events as such.
After the meeting which was also attended by Vice Rector for Promotion Prof. Dr. Hasan Amca, the visitors exchanged information with EMU Communication and Media Studies Faculty Vice Dean and Public Relations and Advertising Department Acting Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agah Gümüş regarding the university’s support in the area of communication.
