Internship Students of Pharmacy Program Visited EMU

Operating under Eastern Mediterranean University Pharmacy Faculty, EMU Pharmacy Students Society was granted membership at the International Pharmacy Students Federation (IPSF) following the representation of the faculty by Safiye Çağansel and Alia Henedi at the 61st World Congress of the IPSF which took place at Hyderbad, India between 30 July and 9 August 2015.

Following the obtainment of the membership of IPSF, IPSF’s Cyprus Student Exchange Organiser Safiye Çağansel started working on the IPSF’s biggest project, Student Exchange Program, which provides internship opportunities for over 900 pharmacy students in 78 different countries. Within the framework of the said program which is carried out for the first time in Cyprus, pharmacy students throughout the world were invited to the TRNC for internship purposes.

The first group of the said students who will carry out internship practice in the pharmacy, industry and research areas were hosted by EMU Pharmacy Faculty Vice Dean Assist. Prof. Dr. Ozan Gülcan, Assist. Prof. Dr. Emre Hamurtekin, Assist. Prof. Dr. Aybike Yektaoğlu, Assist. Prof. Dr. Jale Yüzügülen and IPSF SEO Safiye Çağansel at EMU Pharmacy Faculty.  Currently conducting their internship practice in our country within the framework of SEP, the said students from Singapore, Serbia, Poland, Egypt and France received information about the classrooms, student laboratories and research laboratories at EMU Pharmacy Faculty.
