Famagusta Tradesmen Visited EMU Rector

Eastern Mediterranean University Rector Prof. Dr. Abdullah Y. Öztoprak exchanged information with a group of tradesmen from Famagusta regarding the positive contributions of the University and the International Summer School on Famagusta. During the visit which took place at the Rector’s Office, Famagusta Municipality Council member and the spokesperson for the visiting group of tradesmen Erol Adalıer expressed the contentment of Famagusta tradesmen regarding the International Summer School, which kept the Famagusta shops alive during the summer season. Adalıer also recommended that an annual meeting to be held between the university and the tradesmen would be of utmost importance as it will provide a context for productive information exchange.

Prof. Dr. Öztoprak stated that the aforesaid summer school has the aim of promoting the University in different countries. More specificly, they aim to increase the student flow from countries which the university has low number of student populations. Prof. Dr. Öztoprak also expressed his happiness in observing the positive contributions of the International Summer School on Famagusta’s economy.

EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Öztoprak also asked the visiting tradesmen to approach the students as a member of the family and provide help when necessary.

Vice Rector for International Relations and Administrative Affairs Prof. Dr. Majid Hashemipour and EMU Public Relations and Press Office Director Derviş Ekşici also attended the meeting.
