Within the framework of Eastern Mediterranean University 17th Orientation Days, a welcoming cocktail for new students and their families was organised at EMU Beach Club on Friday, 10 October 2014.
During the event which was held under the auspices of EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Abdullah Y. Öztoprak, vice rectors, deans and department heads met the new students and their families. During her opening address, Vice Rector for Student Services, Social and Cultural Affairs Prof. Dr. Ülker Vancı Osam welcomed new students and thanked them for choosing EMU for their higher education.
During the cocktail, students and their families had a chance to come together with the university officials at a social environment and, at the same time, received answers to their questions at information desks set up on behalf of all faculties and schools.
Campus Tour
Within the framework of the 17th Orientation Days, newly arriving students and their families took part in a campus tour which took place at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, 10 October 2014. During the campus tour, students and their families received information on the administrative units.
Famagusta City Tour
At 2:00 p.m. on 10 October 2014 a Famagusta tour was organised by the university. As part of the tour, students received information on the historical and touristic parts of Famagusta such as Namık Kemal Square, Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque, Othello Castle and Old City.
Tours to Nicosia, Kyrenia and Karpaz region will be taking place during the upcoming days in accordance with the orientation program.
