The Guide is the First in Northern Cyprus

Prof. Dr. Hoşkara  added that they will ensure the development of urban design principles that will serve the development within the framework of the vision to be determined and the correct design of the structural environment in the process of ensuring this development.

Stating that the guide is the first of its kind prepared in the North of Cyprus in this sense, Prof. Dr. Hoşkara added that it will set an example for other settlements with unique characteristics in the coming periods. Prof. Dr. Hoşkara emphasized that the principles in the said guide are expected to be converted into a legal document by taking into the scope of the execution of the current order, and then to be a part of the zoning plan work to be carried out.

At the same time, the Alsancak Menekşe Region Urban Design Guide and the Youth Street Sample Rehabilitation Project, which summarizes and exemplifies the comprehensive issues in the guide, were delivered to the Alsancak Municipality and the first informative meeting for the public was held. It is expected that the said guide and the project will be shared with stakeholders in meetings with broad participation in the coming days.
