Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) has finalised all preparations for a vibrant spring period. Students will welcome spring with activities organized by the Social and Cultural Activities Directorate. All events that will be held within the framework of the pandemic rules will be open to the public and free of charge.
“EMU Sound Set Festival” will be held on 1 April
RAP music lovers will come together at “EMU Sound Set Festival”, which will be held for the first time at EMU. Within the scope of the festival that will take place at EMU Yasin Düşüner Stadium on Friday, 1 April, 2022 at 18:00, popular RAP music performers Ayben, Tepki, Anıl Piyancı and foreign group A-Star will provide students with hours of joy.
“Rock’n EMU 10” Festival to Take Place
The 10th “Rock’n EMU” event will take place on Friday, 8 April, 2022, at 17:30 this year at EMU Yasin Düşüner Stadium. In the event, which is expected to be held with great enthusiasm and participation, EMU Music Club, Force Awakens, Group Redd, Manga and foreign band Decapitated, all of whom are among the famous rock bands and rock performers of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), will take the stage.
Edip Akbayram to Meet with Turkish Folk Music Fans
The “EMU with Folk Songs” event, to be held for the 9th time this year, will take place on Friday, 13 May, 2022 at 21:00 at EMU Yasin Düşüner Stadium. The event will start with the songs to be performed by the EMU Music Club, Turkish Folk Music Group. Then, the evening will continue with the concert performance of Edip Akbayram, one of Turkey's leading artists.
Edip Akbayram will sing his popular songs “Hasretinle Yandı Gönlüm”, “Aldırma Gönül”, and “Kendim Ettim Kendim Buldum”.
On the other hand, the Spring Festival, anticipated with great excitement every year, will be held at EMU between 18 and 21 May 2022. Details of the festival, to be organised for the 25th time this year, will be shared in the coming days.
