EMU Students’ Artificial Intelligence-Supported Innovative Project: ‘AICTA’ for the News Sector

An artificial intelligence-supported (AI) system for the news industry has been developed, in light of the significant contributions of Kadir Mert, one of the students at Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), School of Computing and Technology (SCT), Department of Information Technology. Referred as “AICTA”, the innovative project aims to enhance the speed, efficiency, and personalization of news production and management processes.

“Reduces the Workload of News Editors”

Utilizing artificial intelligence algorithms, the system scans and gathers relevant news content from digital platforms, analyses and organizes the information, and streamlines it for use by journalists. In doing so, it reduces the workload of news editors, saves time, and enhances overall productivity.

AICTA offers innovative solutions that ease the processes of both professional media officials and content creators. Excelling in data analytics and process automation, the project helps ensure that news is delivered more efficiently and with greater audience relevance.

“A First in Northern Cyprus”

Developers of the AICTA underscore that the project serves as the first AI project developed towards news industry in the Northern Cyprus. Detailed information regarding the project is accessible at www.aicta.co website.
