Eastern Mediterranean University Women’s Volleyball and Handball teams paid a visit to EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam. During the visit, EMU Women’s Volleyball Team’s transfer to the first league from the second league of the Turkish Universities League and successful achievements of EMU Women’s Handball Team in Inter-University Handball Unileague were the topics of discussion.
Recently, EMU Women’s Volleyball Team became a champion after having won the matches against Bilecik Şeyh Edebalı University, Düzce University, Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli and Ayfon University teams with a score of 3-0. Similarly, EMU Women’s Handball Team qualified for the next tournament as a result of their successful achievements in the handball unileague.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Osam congratulated both teams for their outstanding success and stressed the importance EMU pays for sports and sports players. Vice Rector for Student Affairs and EMU Sports Affairs Director Cemal Konnolu were also present at the said visit.
