Eastern Mediterranean University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam paid visits to new government representatives. The first visit of Prof. Dr. Osam was paid to Prime Minister Hüseyin Özgürgün. During the visit, Prof. Dr. Osam provided information about the university’s financial situation, international agreements, investments, Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination Council ( YÖDAK), and higher education in the TRNC in general.
Stating that EMU is a leading institution of higher education in the TRNC regarding its financial situation, Prof. Dr. Osam put forth that the university administration is working hard towards maintaining this structure as well as its academic quality. During the visit, information exchange on the latest situation of new EMU statute also took place. Prof. Dr. Osam also wished Prime Minister Özgürgün every success in his new undertaking.
“Invitation to International Writers’ Tournament”
Prof. Dr. Osam also provided information to the Prime Minister about the “International Football Tournament” taking place in EMU between 6 and 8 May 2016. Prof. Dr. Osam also extended an invitation to the Prime Minister to attend the tournament.
Deputy Prime Minister Denktaş Receives EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Osam
The second visit of EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam was paid to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Serdar Denktaş. During the visit, Prof. Dr. Osam congratulated Denktaş on his new appointment and provided information about the university’s current situation. Prof. Dr. Osam also invited Minister Denktaş to the “International Writers’ Football Tournament”.
Visit to Minister of National Education and Culture Berova
Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam also paid a visit to TRNC Minister of National Education and Culture Özdemir Berova. During the visit, Prof. Dr. Osam provided information to Minister Berova on the latest academic developments in EMU, the new EMU statute, and financial situation of EMU.
