Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Rector Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın released a message on the occasion of 24 November Teachers' Day. Prof. Dr. Hocanın made the following statements in the said message:
As 24 November is the day Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Ataturk was given the title of “Head Teacher”, it is observed as Teachers’ Day both in Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
I wish all teachers who educate our children all over the country a very happy 24 November Teachers' Day and wish them continued success in their work in this honourable profession. On this occasion, I commemorate all late educators with love and respect. May God’s mercy be upon them "
