In scope of the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) ‘In-Service Trainings’; organised by the Personnel Office Directorate – In-Service Training Unit in the 2017 – 2018 Academic Year, the participating EMU personnel received their certificates. The certificate ceremony took place on January 24th 2019, Thursday (14:30) at the Activity Centre.
In accordance with analysis result based topics, the EMU Personnel Office Directorate – In-Service Training Unit organises annual training and update programs for the personnel. In the 2017 – 2018 Academic Year, 13 in-service training sessions were held, namely Conflict Management, Emotional Intelligence, Art of Knowing People, Website Management of SharePoint, Advanced Excel Applications, Training the Trainer, Secrets of Giving Feedback, Image Management in Work-life, Communication, Decision Making Techniques, Problem Solving Skills, Work Safety and Health Training (Cleaning Services); and Cleanliness and Hygiene Training (Cleaning Services). 474 administrative and 157 Cleaning Services Unit personnel; 631 in total, participated in these training sessions.
In his opening speech, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam noted that in-service training is an important activity for the improvement and development of any institution. Prof. Dr. Osam stated that EMU owes its success not only to its academic side, but also the philosophy and systematic performance of all its employees. Saying that in-service training played a significant role in achieving this harmony, Prof. Dr. Osam thanked all in attendance for their efforts.
The certificates were presented by Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam and Vice-Rectors Prof. Dr. H. Tanju Besler and Prof. Dr. Cem Tanova during the highly participated event. The certificate ceremony ended after a cocktail.
