Within the framework of the 17th Orientation Days, a “Welcoming Festival” organised by EMU Social and Cultural Affairs Directorate took place on Friday, 17 October 2014.
As part of the festival, clubs operating under the Social and Cultural Affairs Directorate set up stands and provided information about their operations to new students. Along with student clubs, the Student Council, faculties and schools promoted their activities via designated stands. The festival also featured sports competitions, stage performances and recreational activities, all of which brought color to the event.
During the festival, various cultural dance or music shows of Russian, Kazakh, Azerbaijani, Iranian, Sudanese, Moroccan and Palestinian students took place as well as American-Cypriot-Brasilian Jiu Jitsu Team’s and American Football Team’s performances. Following the musical and music clubs’ performances, local group KA Band took the stage and entertained the audience with their English and Turkish songs.
