Organised by the Musical Community operating under Eastern Mediterranen University Social and Cultural Activities Directorate, a theatre play entitled “The Master of İstanbul” was staged at Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Center.
The play takes place during the post Tulip Era of Ottomans. The play depicts one of the scary figures of İstanbul Judge Savleti, who is looking for a suitable husband for his daughter Esma. However, Esma is in love with Safi Çelebi. The impossible love between these two young people is supported by Çengi Afet, who tries to convince Judge Savleti.
