EMU Law Faculty was Represented at the 10th International Law Assembly

Eastern Mediterranean University Law Faculty Vice Dean Assist. Prof. Dr. Arzu Alibaba represented EMU at the 10th International Law Assembly of the Ankara Bar Association.

Along with Turkey, speakers from 90 countries including the TRNC, USA, Brazil, Italy, Bulgaria, Poland, Latvia and Spain participated in the said event that took place between 11 and 14 January 2018.

The 10th International Law Assembly commenced with the opening address of the President of the Ankara Bar Association. President of the Turkish Bar Association Prof. Dr. Metin Feyzioğlu and President of the Supreme Court Ismail Rüştü Cirit also delivered opening speeches.

On the second day of the Assembly, Assist. Prof. Dr. Arzu Alibaba delivered a presentation titled “Citizenship as a Human Right and Its Place in the Rulings of the European Court of Human Rights. Assist. Prof. Dr. Alibaba touched upon the human right dimension of citizenship, and the related rulings of the European Court of Human Rights.
