Eastern Mediterranean University is hosting Deputy Minister of Northern Iraq Regional Government’s Ministry of Higher Education Jwan Omar and his officials, who arrived in our country on 7 September 2015 with the purpose of obtaining detailed information about EMU as well as improving the existing collaborations.
Deputy Minister Jwan Omar and his officials had a meeting with EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam and Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Ahmet Sözen, Prof. Dr. Bekir Özer, Prof. Dr. Hasan Amca and EMU Public Relations and Press Office Director Murat Aktuğralı at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 8 September 2015. During their stay in the country, Jwan Omar and his team will also be visiting faculties within the university.
Expressing his pleasure in hosting Northern Iraq Regional Government’s Deputy Minister of Higher Education and his team, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Osam stated that the existing collaborations between the two parties will be further enhanced with this visit. Stating that EMU is the best university of the TRNC and among the best universities both within Turkey and throughout the world, Jwan Omar put forth that they would like to maintain and develop the existing relationship with EMU. Omar also thanked Prof. Dr. Osam and his team for their hospitality. Deputy Minister Jwan Omar and his team will be leaving the country on Thursday, 10 September 2015.
