Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government Erbil Polytechnic University Dr. Rasul Kawa, Vice Rectors Dr. Rassam Nageeb and Dr. Khatab Jawdat and Rector of Dohuk Polytechnic University Prof. Dr. Adnan Dohuki paid a visit to Eastern Mediterranean University.
Rector of Erbil Polytechnic University Dr. Kawa and vice rectors first attended a meeting with Vice Rector for Promotion Prof. Dr. Hasan Amca, who provided detailed information about EMU. During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Amca also highlighted the importance the university gives to international collaborations and international promotion. After the meeting, Iraqi guests visited Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Health Sciences and Dr. Fazıl Küçük Medicine Faculty and attended a meeting with Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Ahmet Sözen. During the meeting information exchange on accreditations took place. Prospective collaborations between the two institutions were also topics of discussion.
On the same day, Rector Dr. Kawa and vice rectors visited EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam, who provided detailed information about Eastern Mediterranean University’s faculties and departments, infrastructural and campus facilities, student and faculty profile, and accreditations. At the end of the meeting, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Osam stated the university’s willingness for international collaborations.
On the other hand, Dohuk Polytechnic University Rector Prof. Dr. Adnan Dohuki also paid a visit to EMU and had a meeting with EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam. During his stay, Prof. Dr. Dohuki attended meetings on prospective collaborations with EMU and visited various faculties. Having received detailed information about EMU from EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam, Prof. Dr. Dohuki stated that they will be more than happy to establish collaborations with EMU since EMU’s international structure, campus facilities and accreditations are impressive. Talking about the positive effects of international collaborations on the university, Prof. Dr. Osam put forth that Eastern Mediterranean University is a truly international university with its accreditations as well as the student and faculty profile. Expressing his pleasure in hosting the aforesaid visitors, Prof. Dr. Osam once again stated that the university always welcomes prospective international collaborations.
