Eastern Mediterranean University hosted the Rector of the University of Sulaimani Prof. Dr. Salahalddin Saeed Ali and his team.
During the visit which took place in April, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam and Sulaimani University Rector Prof. Dr. Salahalddin Saeed Ali signed a collaboration protocol on prospective joint academic projects.
Prof. Dr. Osam provided detailed information about EMU to the visiting officials and stated that with a history of 36 years, EMU is the most prominent university in Cyprus. Stressing EMU’s gradual development and enlargement year by year, Prof. Dr. Osam also provided information about student and faculty profile, campus and infrastructural facilities, faculties and departments. Stating the importance the university gives to international accreditation and recognition, Prof. Dr. Osam put forth that the majority of departments in EMU hold various international accreditations and that the university endeavors to obtain international accreditation for all programs.
Rector of University of Sulaimani Prof. Dr. Salahalddin Saeed Ali expressed his pleasure in collaborating with Eastern Mediterranean University and thanked Prof. Dr. Osam for his hospitality. At the end of the meeting where Vice Rector for Financial Affairs Prof. Dr. Salih Katırcıoğlu and Coordinator for Institutional Development and International Academic Relations Office Cahit Ezel were also present, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam presented lefkara lace handicrafts to guests.
