EMU Graduate Mehmet Muş Becomes the Deputy Chairman of AKP

Eastern Mediterranean University Business and Economics Faculty Business Department 2005 graduate Mehmet Muş has been appointed as the Deputy Chairman for Economy and Finance following Prof. Dr. Ahmet Davutoğlu’s appointment as the General Chair of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) in Turkey. Turkish Republic Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmuş appointed Mehmet Muş to the position of Deputy Chairman for Economy and Finance. In his address at the handover ceremony,  Muş expressed his hope in contributing to the further development of Turkey by increasing the employment force of the country as well as the productivity.

Who is Mehmet Muş?

Dr. Mehmet Muş was born in Trabzon Sürmene on 1 May 1982. He graduated from Eastern Mediterranean University Business and Economics Faculty. He pursued his postgraduate studies in  Washington State University, School of Economic Sciences.

He worked in the private sector as a budget planning and reporting specialist. He finished his doctoral degree in Marmara University History of Economics program. Muş has an excellent command of English.
