A special lunch event was organised for Eastern Mediterranean University General Secretary Gürol Özkaya, who is retiring during the upcoming days. The organisation which took place on 30 November 2015 brought together Özkaya, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam and Vice Rectors.
Since the start of his employment in EMU on 18 February 1986, Gürol Özkaya has undertaken various duties including Registrar’s Office Unit Manager, Director of the Registrar’s Office and General Secretary. Extending his gratitude and appreciation to Gürol Özkaya for his valuable contributions and services to the university, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam presented a plaque of appreciation to him.
Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Ahmet Sözen, Prof. Dr. Hasan Amca, Prof. Dr. Hıfsiye Pulhan, Prof. Dr. Salih Katırcıoğlu and Prof. Dr. Bekir Özer, Deputy General Secretary Rıza Çinkılıç, Rector’s Coordinator Assist. Prof. Dr. Arif Akkeleş and Director of Public Relations and Press Office Murat Aktuğralı were also present at the said organisation.
