EMU Gastronomy And Culinary Arts Department Took Part In Varıous Activities

Eastern Mediterranean University Tourism Faculty, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department took part in various activities enabling students converting theory into practice.

'New Horizons in Cake Making’

Eastern Mediterranean University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department participated in an activity entitled “New Horizons in Cake Making” organised by UNIPRO, a sub division of Bülent Çıraklı  Ltd. and Unilever. Student taking part in the event observed different production and application methods in cake making business.

Student of EMU Becomes the Winner of 1st University Cooking Contest

Students of Eastern Mediterranean University, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department competed in ‘1st University Cooking Contest’ participated by the students of Culinary Arts within the TRNC. Rıdvan Karataşlı from EMU received the first prize in the main course category.

EMU Participated in ÇODAM Summer Science Camp

Eastern Mediterranean University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department hosted Keçiören Municipality Ankara Child Consultancy Center (ÇODAM) and Center for Gifted and Talented Children’s Summer Science Camp. During the camp which hosted over 20 participants, students of EMU Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department introduced Cypriot food culture to students.

EMU at Regional Anatolian Culture Festival

Students of Eastern Mediterranean University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department opened food stands at ‘Regional Anatolian Culture Festival” organised in collaboration with Famagusta Municipality. During the event where meals from 5 different regions were prepared, students provided samples from Anatolian food culture.
