Within the framework of the 2015-2016 Academic Year Fall Semester Community Involvement Projects, Eastern Mediterranean University, Foreign Languages and English Preparatory School organised a charity event which took place with the active participation of students and academic staff members. Funds raised by the charity organisation will be donated to Kemal Saraçoğlu Children with Leukemia Foundation and Cyprus Turkish Cancer Foundation. The event organisers also stated that along with the said foundations, part of funds raised will also be used for the purchase of food for stray animals on streets.
Coordinator of Eastern Mediterranean University, Foreign Languages and English Preparatory School’s Community Involvement Projects Mutlu Soykurt expressed the school’s pleasure and pride in supporting important causes. Soykurt also stressed the importanced of involving students’ participation in activities as such.
Having taken place with the active participation of Sen. Inst. Soykurt and academic staff members Pınar Hüdaoğlu, Refika İlkan Özer, Vacide Köse, Bahar Avşar, Hakan Altuner, Damla Ürem, Fezile Toker, Emine Ermetal, Fatma Demirtaş and Pembe Tuna Karpazlı, the charity organisation also hosted a karaoke activity participated by the instructors of the said school.
