EMU Fleps Students Visited The İskele (Trikomo) Region

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Foreign Languages and English Preparatory School (FLEPS) ‘CYPRUS TURKISH CULTURE’ project, held in the scope of ‘Social Responsibility Projects’ organised by Team Leader and academic staff member Mehşen Ercanlar and lead by academic staff members Pınar Hüdaoğlu, Pembe Tuna Karpazlı and Sevcan Tekhanlı, held its second observatory field trip to the İskele (Trikomo) Region with EMU-FLEPS students.

At first, the students took a short break at the İskele Boğaz area and got the opportunity to take photos of the unique view of Boğaz. Afterwards, the group visited the Lefkara Cultural House in the Çayırova (Agios Theodoros) Village and saw the traditional handmade ‘Lefkara Lace’ handicrafts. At the last stop of their trip, they visited the Mehmetçik (Galateia) Village where they tasted the specially prepared delicacies pertaining to the Cypriot Culture. During their trip, the students got the opportunity to observe the Cypriot Culture and bond with the locals.
