Eastern Mediterranean University Foreign Languages and English Preparatory School (FLEPS) cleaned Bedis picnic area and beach in scope of the Community Involvement Project titled “Environment and Nature”.
Organised by Team Leader and academic staff member Mehşen Ercanlar and lead by academic members Şerife Hocanın Aşıksoy, Damla Simsaroğlu and Selcan Sınal, the “Environment and Nature Project” was held at Bedis picnic area and beach.
The instructors and students partaking in the cleaning project immensely enjoyed their activity and stated that they would maintain their sensitivity towards a clean environment and would spend effort to raise awareness in the people around them.
After completing the cleaning activity, the students and teachers played volleyball on the beach and picnic area, explored the area and expressed that life is much better in a clean and well-maintained environment. Stating that they found the beach and picnic area much cleaner this year compared to last year, the project instructors added that seeing the young people with increased environmental awareness and responsibility each year is promising for our future.
