Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Pharmacy academic staff member Prof. Dr. H. Ozan Gülcan gave a conference titled 'Chemical Modification of Urolithins to Obtain CNS Active Molecules' as a keynote speaker at an event organized by Yeditepe University at Üzeyir Garih Conference Hall.
In his presentation, Prof. Dr. Gülcan focused on the current approaches in the design of the original drug candidate molecule for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and provided information about the research studies obtained in the last five years in parallel with the new developments in the EMU Faculty of Pharmacy Pharmaceutical Chemistry research laboratories and published in scientific journals.
Prof. Dr. Gülcan also stated that during his visit to Yeditepe University, possible collaborations between EMU and Yeditepe University in the field of Pharmaceutical Chemistry studies were focused on. On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Gülcan came together with the graduates of the EMU Faculty of Pharmacy, who are studying at different doctoral programs at Yeditepe University. Prof. Dr. Gülcan also received information about the students' studies.
