The first of the “People Worrying about Injustice: Cultured Lawyer Seminar Series” initiated by the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Law Club was held on 30 December 2021 at EMU Faculty of Law.
The students showed great interest towards the seminar during which EMU Faculty of Law academic staff member Assist. Prof. Dr. Nurcan Gündüz participated as a speaker. In the seminar that started with the definition of the concept of Battered Woman Syndrome, Assist. Prof. Dr. Nurcan Gündüz drew attention to the violence that women are exposed to in their lives, addressed the inadequacy of the policies implemented on violence against women and responded to the questions of the eParticipants. At the end of the event, EMU Faculty of Law, Vice Dean Assist. Prof. Dr. Hakan Bilgeç presented Assist. Prof. Dr. Nurcan Gündüz a certificate of appreciation on behalf of the Faculty Dean’s Office.
