Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Faculty of Health Sciences and School of Health Services will organize an oath-taking ceremony for the students that will graduate at the 2019-2020 Academic Year Spring Term Graduation Ceremony. The annual traditional ceremony will take place in online environment because of the COVID-19 outbreak. The ceremony will take place on 17th July 2020 Friday, at 13:00 p.m. Approximately 360 new health professionals will take their oaths at the ceremony.
“Health Teams Should Receive Fully-Equipped Education”
EMU Faculty of Health Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Mehtap Malkoç stated, “We are going through a tough era because of COVID-19. The world is focused on all industries and business world. There are concerns about the spread of the virus. None of the industries are more central than health industry. In addition to the worries, the health industry is facing unique difficulties during their efforts of providing health services to the ones that are affected. The health teams that are working at the forefront should receive a fully-equipped education in facing with outbreaks that are similar to COVID-19. Our faculty is aware of the responsibility and the importance of health education and is continuing its path by touching human lives.”
They Will Express Their Commitment on Principle and Ethical Values
EMU Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics (Turkish and English), Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation (Turkish and English), Department of Nursing, Department of Health Management, Department of Sports Sciences undergraduate graduates and the associate graduate students from Oral and Dental Health, Anesthesia, Surgery Services, Dialysis, Physiotherapy, First and Emergency Aid, Radiotherapy and Medical Imaging Techniques will take an oath special to their profession with the company of their department chairs at the online ceremony. Like every year, EMU Faculty of Health Sciences and School of Health Services graduates will take an oath before they start to conduct their professions and they will express their commitment on principle and ethical values during their professional lives.
