Eastern Mediterranean University Alumni Relations and Career Research Directorate (EMU-MIKA), in collaboration with faculties and schools, organized the 11th International Career Days. As part of this event, EMI Faculty of Dentistry hosted two expert speakers. On 22 May 2023, Monday, at 10:30 am, in the Green Hall, the event featured Prof. Dr. Yasemin Özkan’s, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Marmara University, presentation titled "Smile Esthetics in Dentistry," and Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Umut Aslan’s presentation on "Digital Technologies in Prosthetic Dental Treatment."
During the opening of the event, Prof. Dr. Hikmet Solak, Dean of EMU Faculty of Dentistry at EMU, welcomed everyone and provided information about the Faculty of Dentistry. Prof. Dr. Solak expressed his gratitude to those who contributed to the organization of the event and wished for a productive seminar. In his speech, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın emphasized that despite being a newly established faculty, the Faculty of Dentistry at EMU is one of the most ambitious faculties. Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın highlighted that EMU, as a state university, is at the forefront of higher education in both the fields of education and research in Northern Cyprus with its programs. Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın stated that EMU has also fulfilled its responsibilities in terms of international collaborations and contributions to universal science. Mentioning that within the framework of EMU Career Days, experts from various fields have been hosted, Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın expressed his belief that EMU will continue to progress steadily. Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın wished everyone a successful event and stated his belief that the seminar would shed light on important insights and different perspectives. At the end of the event, Prof. Dr. Hocanın and Prof. Dr. Solak presented plaques of appreciation to Prof. Dr. Özkan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aslan for their contributions.
Following the presentations, a certificate ceremony was held to honor the students who achieved academic success during the 2022-2023 Fall Semester. The certificates of honor and high honor were presented to successful students by the Dean, Vice Dean, and faculty members.
