Cyprus Turkish Cinema and Television Association chose Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Faculty of Communication, Digital Media and Film Master’s Program student Toğrul Abbasov as a Preliminary Jury Member for the 4th “Cinevision International Film Festival” where the Nafi Hüseyin Rıza awards, named after “Sinemacı Nafi” who opened the first cinema theatre in Famagusta.
With total of 163 film applications from 31 different countries, a preliminary jury was set due to the increase in the number of applications. Applications were also made from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
Within the scope of the festival, 13 awards will be presented including short film, documentary and television awards. Jury consists of members from different countries (TRNC, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Italy, India, etc.) and occupations (author, scriptwriter, director, painter, etc.) who are experts in their fields.
