Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), is making a real difference in the field of sports. EMU is paying close attention to the importance of not only sports education but also sports affairs working in collaboration with sports affairs directorate to strengthen the facilities and its infrastructure by renewing the facilities.
With the success EMU has with the tennis courts, both the men’s and the women’s teams have participated in a University Wide tennis competition held in Antalya by the Turkey University Sports Federation. EMU women’s team has taken the 1st place and earned the right to compete in the super league whereas the men’s team has qualified to move onto the 1st league from the 2nd league.
EMU currently has 7 tennis courts consisting of 4 concrete and 3 grass courts. The courts are also divided for simultaneous training if the need arises. The grass courts are the first of their kind to contain automatic watering systems
